The Department of Tourism (DOT) Boracay said the arrival of the Star Cruises SuperStar Gemini Luxury ship signals the start of another busy cruise season for Boracay Island.
"All set for the arrival of SuperStar Gemini cruise ship," DOT-Boracay officer-in-charge Artemio Ticas said.
Arriving in Boracay Island at 6 am Thursday (Today), All disembarking passengers will be greeted by the Ati-Atihan tribes.
Tourist will have a memorable holiday experience in their eight hour sightseeing and stroll along the white beach, souvenir hunting, explore and dine in the finest restaurant.
The Superstar Gemini will sail to Xiamen to Keelung, Penghu, Kaohsiung, Taichung, Hongkong, Boracay and Manila. The ship will bring about 1,500 travelers and 935 crew members including 350 Filipinos.
The cross-strait international cruising marks also the first visit to the Philippines of the Superstar Gemini.
The Island of Boracay is also looking ahead for another round of call from Star Cruises international ship a few weeks from now.
Superstar Aquarius, currently homeported in Keelung, Taiwan, will embark on a special eight-day cruise, departing from Kaohsiung on October 29 with stops at Hongkong, Manila, Boracay and arriving in Kota Kinabalu on November 6.
The Star Cruises, the leading cruise line in Asia-Pacific, has been honored as a TTG Travel Awards "Travel Hall of Fame" Inductee for the six year in Bangkok recently.
